The as-rolled or the as-cast microstructure of Stainless Steel 347H Coils resolves carbides by holding them in the gamma zone. The general treatment for Stainless Steel 347H Perforated Coils includes holding it at some temperatures for a few hours, followed by slow cooling. WNR 1.4550 Plate offers brilliant resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures within the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 to 1500°F (427 to 816°C). SA 240 TP 347H Sheet cannot be hardened by heat treatment and is only hardenable through cold working. Alloy 347H Plate can be easily welded and processed using standard shop fabrication practices. However, ASME SA 240 Grade 347H does not perform well in small concentrations of chloride solutions or sulfuric acid.

The Stainless Steel 347H Plates involves holding the steel for a short period at 20°C to 40°C, followed by cooling in still air. Cold-formed steel is typically annealed and recrystallized, with 347H Stainless Steel Plates being held for some hours at around 680°C (1,260°F). A uniform structure of grains, comprising either pearlite and ferrite or pearlite and cementite, depending on the carbon content, forms in 347H Stainless Steel Coils during cooling. When a cold-rolled strip in SS 347H Sheets passes through a high furnace-some other system, the strip moves up and down between numerous top and bottom rolls.
