Hastelloy C22 is a nickel alloy with excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion cracking. A high tungsten and molybdenum content gives Hastelloy C22 good resistance in reducing media, while its high chromium content gives it resistance in oxidizing media. Thus, this makes the Hastelloy C22 very reliable to use since it performs flawlessly in any of these challenging environments.
Nickel steel alloy offers resistance to a wide range of oxidizing aqueous media, including oxidizing acids with chlorine ions, nitric acid mixtures, and wet chlorine. ASTM B575 is the standard for Hastelloy C22 plates, sheets, and strips fabricated from low-carbon, nickel-based alloys.
