Inconel 718 wires are one of the fine products that find applications in an array of industries with excellent properties attributed to them. Inconel 718 was primarily developed to resist harsh conditions, particularly those related to crevice and pitting corrosion. It is manufactured from an alloy of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum. The addition of niobium to this alloy imparts a characteristic that permits this alloy to age harden without spontaneous hardening due to heating and cooling. This combination of strengthening due to niobium and molybdenum additions facilitates easy hardening and welding, thus making heat treatment obsolete.
