It is for this reason that the 'H' in 304H stands for "High" carbon content: a range of 0.04 percent to 0.10 percent carbon. This increased carbon content will maximize the ASTM tensile and yield strength of 304H above that of 304L, giving it added overall strength and making it suitable for use in high-stress applications.
Stainless Steel 304H is mainly used in piping systems for the conveyance of fluids or gases because its nickel-chromium alloy makeup provides excellent resistance to corrosion. Our boiler tubes and pipes are designed simply for stressful continuous performance and therefore provide maximum reliability and performance.
Sankalp Alloys Overseas prides itself on the fully-equipped, sophisticated facilities for manufacturing at its disposal. Fully equipped state-of-the-art machinery works and moves with professionals who strive to maintain the highest standards of quality at all times. This quest for perfection makes our SS 304H Pipes and Tubes befit industry expectations and in turn, to their best preferred merchandise for the most critical industrial applications.
SS 304L is a low Carbon grade of the universal 18-8 austenitic stainless steel. This added advantage allows for extensive welds without localized corrosion. This property is because of its lowered carbon content, which brings about reduced intergranular corrosion and minimizes carbide precipitation during welding processes.
