Annealed SS 304L Round Bars are non-magnetic and remain so in that state. However, due to cold-working or welding, it may become slightly magnetic. Annealing shall be done through standard fabrication procedures involving heating above 1037–degrees Celsius for 90 minutes per 25mm thickness—followed by water or air quenching. Proper annealing, to a great extent, enhances the capabilities of corrosion resistance of SS 304L round bars.

304L Stainless Steel is a versatile, general-purpose alloy with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Dual-certified 304L Stainless Steel Bars meet the low carbon limits of 304L stainless but have a slightly higher strength level similar to that of 304-grade stainless.
